If you search for “survey sites that work in Nigeria,” there’s a very good chance you’ll find Triaba Nigeria on the first page of Google.
Triaba is a fairly big name in the paid survey space. The company has been around for more than 15 years and has a dedicated panel for Nigerian users. But can Nigerians actually sign up, complete surveys, and make some money from it?
I decided to put Triaba to the test and see what it is really like. Is Triaba legit? Does it actually pay? Or is it another platform that will simply waste your time?

Triaba Nigeria: What It Says About Itself
According to Triaba, it is a paid survey platform that pays people for sharing their opinions about products, services, brands, and other topics. The company has operated for more than 15 years and runs survey panels in several countries, including Nigeria.
For Nigerian users, Triaba says you can sign up for free, receive surveys that match your profile, and earn money for completing them. It also says it can pay up to $3.25 or more per survey, with several local payment options available.
That all sounds good on paper. But as I always say with these survey platforms, what a site promises and what you actually experience can be two very different things.
So, I decided to sign up and see for myself what Triaba Nigeria is really like.
My Brief Experience With Triaba Nigeria
I signed up on Triaba Nigeria because I wanted to test the platform and see if it is recommendable to my audience. The registration process went okay, with my email and phone number required. After that, I was required to fill out my profile for better survey matching. I was asked things like my educational background, my household size, my job roles and experience, hobbies, and so on. I filled them out and hoped to see some surveys when I loaded the dashboard, but there were none.
I refreshed my dashboard to be certain, and one appeared, but with a ridiculously low pay of $0.06 for a 15-minute survey. That’s like 90 Naira when converted to the Nigerian currency. Crazy! Even when coming back a week later to try my luck again, I still saw nothing more than a single survey offering $0.08 for a twenty-minute questionnaire. Imagine being offered a hundred naira to crack my brain for more than twenty minutes. A paltry N100, which is only enough for sachet water. Jokers!
And mind you, I live in an urban center in Lagos and have a fairly good educational and working background. And have used the same profiles on many other survey platforms, where I get a pretty good amount of surveys weekly, yet it’s been two weeks on Triaba Nigeria with nothing to show for it.
Is Triaba Nigeria Legit?
Triaba Nigeria is legit, but a waste of time. Unless you have a way of creating a foreign account (US, UK), you shouldn’t waste your time on this platform. You won’t get any surveys, and if you manage to, the pay is peanuts.
My advice? Skip Triaba Nigeria entirely and put your time into platforms that actually respect Nigerian users with steady surveys and rewards that make sense. There are better options on this list that will pay you more for less stress, without needing to fake your location or gamble on a $0.06 survey showing up once a week.
Save yourself the disappointment. Triaba might work fine for someone in the US or UK, but for Nigerians, it’s simply not worth the trouble.
